Omega Super finds a variety uses in the machine
shop. As a coolant, 1 part Omega Super to 1 part water soluble oil added to the sump in the same proportion as before, eliminates oil curds and congealing.
The Omega Super acts as a coolant and keeps water soluble oil so evenly dispersed that results are immediately apparent. Additionally, because Omega
Super is also classified as a cleaner, it can virtually eliminate costly cleaning operations. Because of this built-in cleaning action, it keeps the sumps and pressures lines clean, reducing
maintenance cost in sump cleaning.
Research has shown that because of bacteria growth in cutting fluids, corrosion is actually started on parts while they are being formed on the machines;
additionally, bacteria reduces the life span of cutting tools by as much as 40%. Since Omega Super is bacteriostatic in nature, it greatly reduces the occurrence of bacteria, consequently
solving many of the problems associated wit it.
As a Cleaner for Sumps: Use 1 part Omega Super to 2 to 3 parts water and circulate for 30 minutes. The same solution may be used for washing down the exterior
of the machine, while the sump is being cleaned. This mixture will destroy all existing bacteria, and because of its colloidalaction will remove all metal filings that clog up pressure lines and pumps. When operation is completed, drain sump and rinse
to complete the removal of metal filings.
Omega Super may be used as a floor cleaner for machine shops: Use 1 part Omega Super to 4 parts water and apply to floor by any convenient means; let
stand 15 minutes; where oil and greases are heavy crusts, agitate with a stiff bristle broom; check a small spot to be sure all dirt, grease, oils etc. are in solution, then rinse, mop or squeegee
off.
The use of Omega Super in machine shop greatly reduces the occurrence of dermatitis because of bacteria control.
